Shumy Rossii (aka Les Bruits Russes) is a unique project on Russian
post-industrial scene. To create their music they don't use any instruments
except for voices of their vocalists. The main method of sound-expressing is
perfectly executed collage technique. This CD contains the recording of live
show, being held in the city of Obninsk in April 2003. Soundflow represents
complicated structure of industrial, ritual and just street sounds,
processed by effects, fragments of radio broadcasts and rhythmical patterns
flavoured with appearing from time to time recitations of texts and verses
alienated from human senses. The sound is sometimes heavy and dark,
sometimes childish and naive, but always dense and full of emotions. The CD
is packed into black-red-white handmade folder designed in "invisible-labour"
style. The edition is limited to 50 copies but infinity will be enough for
everyone.
